My goal when I designed this armor pattern was to make something that looked good enough to be in a movie, but was still practical. Originally designed for my son to wear to school and go trick or treating in, I made it so he could wear just the breastplate and pauldrons for easy sitting and movement, and then add the other parts for the complete look when he went out in the evening. Where we live, it gets pretty cold by Halloween, so it also needed to be adjustable enough to fit over his winter jacket! 

**This pattern currently includes 5 sizes. One for children approximately age 4-6 and one for children approx. 7-10, one for children 11-13 or small adults, one medium adult size- it fits myself, my wife and my son, and we range from 5'11" tall and 165 lbs to 5'6" and 115 lbs. I am the largest and there is still plenty of room to widen the breastplate for a larger size. I have also just made a size that would fit a XL male around the 6" 250lbs. I will hopefully be making a female breastplate in the future, which will be added to this pattern and anyone who has already purchased it will get them for free. 

This costume shoulder armor is made from inexpensive craft foam and a  4' x 8' foam floor mat.
